Green Tie for Green Haus

The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Dallas (GLFD) held one of the greenest events this side of St Patrick’s Day. GLFD selected Shared Housing Center, specifically their Green Haus capital project, as the beneficiary of its biennial event. Green Tie, presented by Title Sponsor MetroPCS, had guests testing their luck at casino tables, grooving out to the sounds of DJ Jennifer Miller, enjoying delectable bites and drinks, and much more. Ron Kirk and Matrice Ellis-Kirk served as Green Tie Honorary Chairs. See the attached newsletter for more details.

Casino Night

It had been too long since our last fundraiser event. This year, the board initiated a new event to stir energy, enthusiasm and much needed fun!

Wine Event

“Under the Green Haus Lights” toasted Honorable Pauline Medrano, Mayor Pro Tem, City of Dallas and Honorable Kent Conine, former chairman, Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for their leadership and efforts of our new Green Haus community, a new construction project to provide permanent supportive housing. The event included a live auction featuring Chef’s Table at Komali and a private dinner by Chef Chad Houser & Oak Cliff Cellars, and over 75 auction items.
